Have bought my pointless Palace, football and general sports ramblings over here whilst the other place dies a slow death..

Given I had spent the previous 90mins wondering why I had even left home to begin with, you're not wrong.

How were there only 3mins added time at the end of the game too by the way?? Still can't get my head around this?

Was told by many that our spark had returned because we had a decent half against Spurs. Turns out, it was because it was against what is currently one of the most unorganised teams in Europe. Play against someone organised, and that's what we serve up.

We had a full week to work towards this game, so thankful that Glasner gave them an extra day off and proceeded to confirm that we have continued to seemingly work on nothing in regards to breaking down a low block once he did get them in for training.

Big fan of Valverde getting his time in the limelight. That touch for his 3rd just then was out of this world. All 3 goals superb in their own right ๐Ÿ‘

However, if he comes in and puts in 100% for the shirt and starts performing to the level we know he is capable of, I'm also aware that I'm fickle enough to know I'll be booming as he hits the corner flag. And I'm sure that's the case for most fans. It's up to him to win us over.

I can appreciate that it's in the best interests of all parties that JP comes back in to the fold and is given the opportunity to perform again, but I'm not one to easily forget what he done during Jan, as well as his mostly awful performances this season to date.

Joey Barton doing Joey Barton things. Again. Scumbag.

That Ouattara penalty is a laughable at that stage of the shoot out.
However, unreal pens from West Ham. Given Kelleher's decent record in shoot outs I wonder if the West Ham pens going high was done on purpose?

Even in that case I'd usually load/unload before parking fully if needed. I must be scarred from seeing too many incidents combining this sort of parking and the dropping levels of driving standards out there!

Will never get my head around people who drive forward in to the space when bay parking. Has never and will never feel like the right way to do it for me. Can almost guarantee they're never fully straight and have scratches on both corners of the front bumper, too.

Says it all that I'm a tad disappointed we didn't put them to the sword second half, but I think that's more on how bad Spurs are. Can appreciate we done a professional job after a shaky start to the half. Job done, rest up and same again at Selhurst in a weeks time.

Definitely a bellend joke in there somewhere.

No doubt Madley will strike again at some point though, the Palace in me can't see the second 45 being plain sailing!

05.03.2026 21:00 ๐Ÿ‘ 1 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Annoying that Madley and Co conspired to have us go a goal down, but thankfully we seemed to take it personally. Aided of course Spurs showing peak levels of Spursy-ness. Nice to see us being clinical, too.

Absolute shambles. What even is football anymore??

Munoz purposely put the ball out of play earlier when a Spurs player was down. The second he goes down, when he clearly needs to be subbed off, the Spurs fans show their class by booing the situation.

Such an uncomfortable feeling knowing that, not only are Spurs in an awful run of form, but that most neutrals want us to win to really put them in the mire.
I shall offer my apologies to those neutrals now.

Spent all day out on call, from SW London out to Southend with a couple of other jobs in between, & as shit as that was, it still doesn't appear to have been as bad as the call to reduce us to 10 men. Even the most level headed Palace fans I know are beyond bemused by that call ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ

Imagine having to deal with that reception from the fans that used to adore you, even after you've scraped a win vs a side bottom of the table and down to 10 men. The banner from the HF, the chants during the game and the booing off at the end for Glasner can surely only end one way?

22.02.2026 17:16 ๐Ÿ‘ 0 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Absolute shambles. They've had two such conversations in a matter of weeks, surely that alone should be enough to realise things need to change. But no, let's continue this awful run of form with a manager constantly talking nonsense to the press as he doesn't want to be here.

20.02.2026 21:22 ๐Ÿ‘ 1 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Glasner used to say all the right things. Compare that to now, and it's chalk and cheese. Imagine what he's like behind closed doors if this "woe is me" attitude is what he's bringing to press conferences for the world to see.

20.02.2026 11:48 ๐Ÿ‘ 1 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

And I can't be arsed with the "well who comes in then?" nonsense. It's not my job to find a replacement- that is down to our very well paid director. And if he can't find a better answer than Glasner based on what he's producing, then he needs to give up the reins to the club.

19.02.2026 19:52 ๐Ÿ‘ 1 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

We are a complete mess currently, and have been for months. Unless you've been lucky enough to get to the away games, this European tour has been such an anti-climax. I cannot believe that any Palace fan can witness a performance like that and still be wanting Glasner in charge.

19.02.2026 19:52 ๐Ÿ‘ 1 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Apparantly being open at the back whilst have no idea how to attack a game you're expected to control isn't a recipe for success. According to our board though, despite our form showing the opposite, Glasner is still the best option we have for winning us this competition.

All hail Ismailla Sarr, the saviour that is stepping up when required. Thank god someone is!

A goal that masks the fact we've played yet another 45mins of "dominant" football, consisting of no intensity, very little intent going forward and even fewer ideas of how to break down the oppo. Such chalk and cheese football from the side that won 2 trophies only months ago.

I've seen faster paced walking football matches.
