Blade dancing is an ancient art from the Ironhide. Two yautja are given blades, their goal is to graze their opponent’s skin with the blades. This was how Khana and Abeth first met. After Khana’s chiva, Abeth challenged her to a blade dance, it was a tie. #yautja #predator #art #yautjaart

Abeth was a strong young male and his father was old by then, but he fought dirty. They were fighting in a shallow river and he got the upper hand at one point, attempting to suffocate Abeth. But he tricked him by pretending to have drown, only to rise from the water again and win the fight.

For Abeths coming out of age hunt, he chose to chase down, confront and kill his bad blood father. Not only did he do it to become blooded, but to also restore his and his deceased mother’s honor.

This old tradition involves two yautja with daggers, aiming to be the first to graze the other's skin- nothing fatal. They can’t touch each other either and it turns into a kind of dance

Weeks passed since their first meeting, and Khana didn't think much of it. Meanwhile, Abeth was out hunting. When he returned, he visited the healers for his injuries and requested Khana. She treated his wounds, and before leaving, he gifted her the best trophy from his hunt.

I imagine that whipping is a common practice used by mentors training their youngbloods in training. Just like any other apprentice, Abeth also got this treatment. But being the “disgrace” that he is, he often got this punishment, far more than the others his age.
