RBH if they spend their money well?
Iβm sorry. I didnβt realize that a rough beast was slouching this way, and thatβs on me.
really comforting is that EVERYONE SEEMS TO BE HAVING THIS ISSUE
omg
is there a disease where you slowly transform into a cat? all i feel like doing is curl up on my couch in the sun all day every day atm
Bugs Bunny in a tux saying "I wish all trans children a very live long enough to get revenge"
i have once been asked whether these are euros in a london pub though
not to go all βdo these people know scotland existsβ but have these people seen scottish banknotes before π¦¦π
oh and a spinoff about all the dumb timelines that were avoided because some guy wasnβt elected or died or something
i wanna hear about the individual stupid men and the structural forces around them who ruined everything throughout history
alternatively, great podcast idea
free idea for any historian: a general audience book on why there was a similarly dumb time in the period youβre an expert on
(free idea for any publisher: commission an entire collection of these)
(no one will be surprised to hear that i have a real fondness for cooper & harry and their romcom subplot)
the owls are not what they seem though
my current summary is: all the men in this show are controlling the women around them β and harry and cooper who donβt have any women around them are cops (and therefore also upholding patriarchy)
omg i was just going to comment on how laura palmerβs mum is constantly being sedated by the (male) doctor and she refuses! after she was the only person who had figured out the threat was in her own house
havenβt quite figured out whatβs up with the owls though
and, like, plenty of the women are terrible too but it is also clear how they are terrible in response to that structure because thereβs no other option for them
i do love how this show is extremely clear from the beginning that every single woman in this town is at best dependent on and at worst abused by the men around her
next episode βmaybe thatβs all bob is. the evil that men doβ (thanks for clarifying, albert)
(amongst other things)
okay, so i havenβt finished it yet so no spoilers to this 35 year old show please, but it a direct response to the stranger danger panics pointing out that the real monsters are husbands and fathers, right
i am not an expert on energy policy but thereβs no way that pegging the price of electricity including renewables to the price of fossil fuels in times of ecological collapse due to the latter incentivises sustainable behaviour by anyone
solar on the house would be nice but thatβs gonna require a new roof
gonna have to uninstall the little widget on my phone telling me the electricity price if i want to stay sane
on the one hand, glad weβve moved our house off gas entirely. on the other, sure would be nice if the electricity price wasnβt tied to the gas price
shoutout to my beloved chiltern train for turning the heat up enough to make it feel like spring
