Just looked it up. 2 hours from here - a little far for a day trip, sadly!

It is. Wisley is lovely at any time of year, mind.
This afternoon. Just lovely. I got there about 3pm and had clearly missed the rush. Lots of people sitting in the sunshine, just enjoying the place.
Honestly, you could go every week and it would be different. Lots of tulips in bud and the wisteria will be out next month, plus the swathes of camassia. It's a wonderful place.
It's so lovely. One of my favourite places.
Cherry blossom time at RHS Wisley. Every year since these trees went in I've wanted to see them and every year I've missed them. Until now.
And I warned Mr Sloven what would happen if he didn't come. Snowdrops and callicarpa from the bargain section of the garden centre.
Daughter #1 drives an automatic too - one less thing to think about.
Absolutely. Very sad all round.
Definitely. An elderly man went to prison last year after the dog on the front passenger seat leapt onto his lap, he swerved and hit and killed a motorcyclist.
π I have an Irish friend (who I love dearly) who's the worst driver I know. She drives at least 10mph below the speed limit and gets cross with 'aggressive' drivers who she's royally pissed off.

My mother had a Mini Traveller. Adults up front, 3 oldest children on the back seat, the little ones in the boot. No seat belts. In those days, no bars under lorries to stop small cars going under them. Bonkers.
π
π± Thank all that's holy for the 'nanny state'!
I know! Baby in the carrycot on the back seat - no way to strap it in. Doesn't bear thinking about!
π±πThose days! We had a Chrysler Alpine for a while. Used to do fire drill before we left the drive as every time the indicators were used smoke poured out of the steering column.
Different times, weren't they!
I remember going somewhere with a friend, with our toddlers in the back of her car, watching the road pass beneath the holes in the floor beneath me! The not-so-good old days! I had an Escort - drove it to 130k+ miles. Loved that car.
Go to your room.

The MOT garage pointed out that the alignment of the boot on one side is fractionally out and one tail light, and think the water's got in that way. Seeing the body shop man tomorrow to see what he thinks.
Oh my! I still have bits of broken glass in the driver's door from when the 8yo, then about 20mths, locked herself in the car, on a hot day, at the garden centre car park. The staff were wonderful but we had to break the window to get her out.
π
Turns out that my leaking car is all bc of a minor bump when I reversed into the skip on our drive last year. Two little indentations but it's apparently skewed everything and the car needs a whole new tailgate.
I had no idea it was poisonous! Had loads of it in our last garden and was forever weeding it out.
Is that the Stinking Hellebore?
It's so hard to see them go through these things. Poor Lottie, and poor you having to go through it with her.
Good morning, sir. Here sir. Up at the ungodly hour of 7.15 to take my poor old car for one of those big services and its MOT. Hoping that they'll find the leak that makes the boot fill with water. Checking my bank balance in anticipation of a big ole bill.
Good morning, Your Excellency.
Catch Twenty Poo.
Alack a day!
