It was certainly a pleasant sight.

"And?" He said, crooking a playful brow. "Just the suit? C'mon, keep the compliments coming. You know how those thrill me."

He'd known, of course, that such an event was bound to be jam-packed. However, knowing and experiencing were two wholly different things.

At the compliment, he couldn't help but smile, reaching out to fix Jason's glasses- those, too, were new. Kyle had never seen him in those before.

His back against the wall, the lantern let out a snort.

"We're in the same boat, then," he said, gesturing at the view over Jason's shoulder- the cameras, the crowds, the diplomatic tones of a thousand wealthy businessmen. "I'm not used to this, either."

"Sure, Mr. Todd," he returned, with a long, appreciative glance at the other. "How can I ever refuse when you look so good?"

A nervous tug at his collar. A gentle release for the heat burning underneath.

Flashing camera, burning lights- those were things that took getting used to.

Still, he grinned, grabbing onto the proffered hand, and letting it guide him inwards, past the security check, and into the den.
