Finally CLEAR for rent. Thank you so much! I know I've had to ask for a lot lately, but can I please ask for one more bit of help?
Groceries. $150 would last me 2-3 weeks, and I'm running QUITE low because I keep having to use all the funds for rent.
Can anyone please chip in for that?
MARCH UPDATE: Falco's profile picture for some reason got removed, but it's the same old Falco. He needs $150 for groceries to survive, and a little extra for some treats -- both his parents died very recently within weeks of each other, and he could use something nice in his life. Please help!
Someone should tell Newsom the same is true about transgender people, including playing sports. Trans people belong in American society too, including trans athletes.
You can make mocha without milk, although that's really rare. Coffee plus chocolate doesn't REQUIRE milk.
Sometimes I suppose terms like wraps or papers were used as a euphemism in settings where they couldn't get away with saying "cigar." But if a word has absolutely ZERO controversial connotations, why complicate it?
I don't necessarily agree with disliking "mocha latte," since a mocha can be either latte or not. Other examples you've given, though, like "wraps" or "papers," just sounds needlessly ambiguous.

This gives rise to the thought that misery is what gives addiction so much power over people, and if they have other, better sources of relief, most beings prefer that.
They then let the rats openly choose between opioid water and clean water. Rats in the prison-like conditions clung to the substance. Rats in the enriched setting, more often than not, chose clean water.
For context, if anyone is unfamiliar, Rat Park was when scientists laced rats' drinking water with an opioid, then split them into two groups. One group was left alone in bland, featureless cages. The other rats had toys, enrichment, and companions.
What gives me a bit of hope is the concept that comes from the Rat Park experiment: the idea that addiction is at its most powerful when someone is suffering and can't find another way out of it.
Yes! It takes a lot of... conditioning, for lack of a better word, to cause someone to stop seeking out SUBSTANCE. There's only so many ways you can flavor a potato chip- the mere need for variety can drive us to wanderlust, innovation, and experimentation.
Yet another way in which corporations are A. Trying to form a dependency on them and B. Trying to keep everyone from realizing how miserable they are under Capitalism.
And don't even get me started about how overall AI is Fascism's best friend.
That is something that scares me. That, and how AI fawning will lull everyone into complacency. Why do or care about anything when you can just open up your HER app and have smoke blown up your ass all day?
This is also why they want sycophantic fawning, out of machines and people alike.
I worry that the A . I . programming to fawn over people will worsen social expectations that everyone fawns over "superiors," which has already increased due to "customer service" training.
Part of the fun of reading someone else's story is that you don't KNOW what they're gonna write next. If you prompted a story, you basically gave the machine your concept and let it fill in the blanks.
Lukewarm take:
It is impossible for algorithmically generated stories to be actual fanfic.
A computer cannot be a FAN. The story might be "prompted" by a fan, but... why not actually look for stories real people write, or write your own?

I can’t understand the cruelty of the medical system in the US, where starting stomach cancer treatment bankrupts patients and denies the ongoing care to keep them alive (to repay?) without minimum payments. Can anyone match my $100 to help get Rebecca admitted to hospital?
