Glad to hear Kristi Noem is going to be replaced and look forward to a department with more accountability and transparency as new leadership emerges.

After today’s Senate Judiciary hearing, the concerns about Secretary Kristi Noem’s leadership are impossible to ignore. I’m leading AJR 26 calling for her impeachment because our federal agencies deserve leadership grounded in integrity and accountability.

AB 1744: Reef-Safe Truth in Marketing Act | Official Website - Assemblymember Dawn Addis Representing the 30th California Assembly District When a sunscreen says it's "reef-safe," most people assume it won't harm marine life. But today, that label doesn't have a clear statewide definition in California. AB 1744 is about making sure environmental claims are honest so consumers can make informed choices.

clarity for consumers and holds manufacturers accountable. Californians deserve accurate information when purchasing goods.

RE: Letter of Support for CSU Skilled Trade Workers Represented by Teamsters Local
2010
Dear Chancellor Garcia,
I am writing to express my strong support for the skilled trade workers across the California State University (CSU) system represented by Teamsters Local 2010, and for their request that SU uphold fair labor practices and fulfill its contractual obligations regarding wage increases.
SU's skilled trade workers are essential to the daily operation of our campuses. Their work ensures that facilities remain safe, functional, and supportive learning environments so that faculty and staff can effectively serve students. Without their expertise and dedication, SU campuses simply cannot operate.
In 2025, CSU did not provide any cost-of-living adjustments or salary step increases to faculty or staff. In November 2025, I publicly expressed my disbelief and frustration with the CSU decision to approve pay increases for CSU presidents - already among the highest-compensated executives in the system - while the regular working people who keep our campuses running continue to struggle to make ends meet. If solutions can be found to navigate fiscal challenges to support raises for those at the top, CSU leadership must be able to support the skilled trade workers who are vital to campus operations.
Until then, the lack of resolution contradicts SU's role in bettering the future of all Californians and its management of tax-payer dollars.
Rising inflation and housing costs across California have left many CSU workers unable to achieve basic financial stability. Unfortunately, without addressing the wage increases, the economic futures of these employees are in serious jeopardy. Our dedicated workers deserve financial security in their careers.
