For sure. “Have you considered x.” “Hey, your experience sounds kinda similar to mine…” etc. All extremely valid. Let’s them draw their own conclusions. “You are an egg” or “oh, you’re definitely trans” to someone who’s questioning. Questionable. Helping an egg hatch, vs breaking an egg?
Though nothing in that argument precludes talking about being trans in public, just not directly telling anyone you think they’re an egg. I’ve got mixed feeling about the whole thing, because having external validation or a gentle nudge along sooner would have been really nice.
The argument I’ve seen for not cracking eggs is that, if the idea doesn’t come from themselves they’re more likely to be resistant to it, which could cause them to repress harder. And, potentially fuel doubts down the line about if they’re really trans or if they were externally influenced.
