I’ve not really been using Bluesky for a bit - who’s here and how is it feeling as a platform at the moment?

I was finding it a bit negative and stressful last year!

You know you’re a geriatric millennial or older when you remember when emojis were emoticons.

This has genuinely reminded me that I haven’t taken my supplements today 😅

Being a woman in your 40s is an ongoing adventure of wondering if you feel a bit off because of your hormones, because you’re under the weather, or because you ate too many onions etc last Thursday.

@jfjejw.bsky.social has revealed this happens to us all in our 50s 😄

One of the most shocking things of crossing over into my 40s is that I now have a favourite brand of bin.

the Christmas lights in the Scottish town of Newburgh are designed by its children-there’s a competition to design a new one each year. They’re made by the same co. that makes the lights for Blackpool, the Shard & Champs-Élysées:

My husband’s grandmother was convinced that Holly was short for something and constantly asked me what.

In the end I jokingly said it was short for Holiver she believed me. I never had the heart to correct her and so she went to her grave thinking that was my full name.
