I agree with your assessment. It’s a challenge, though, to believe there is value in a hobby when prominent voices over time assert that writing, which they label a hobby even if it isn’t the intent, is a waste of time, and so isn’t valuable. It infects the mind. What does someone do with that?

Good answer. I tend to define the line by how the IRS defines the difference, and that is determined by a number of factors. Intent to make a profit and actually making it are big ones.

I came back to the presidential meme I posted yesterday and realized it looked like I advocated something bad. That was not my intent. This revision, hopefully, shows better what I meant. Basically, I'm dismayed by our choices. Sorry about the former one, folks.

Plugging away at editing with Word fighting me all the way. I don't know why it can't play nice with Mac. If it wasn't client work I'd ditch it for Scrivener.

I don't know about snacks, but I'd sure like a fitness company to have me trial their exercise equipment designed to be used while working at or in place of a desk. Desk bike or treadmill, anyone?
