We invite papers exploring sexuality across all identities and contexts, including LGBTQIA+ populations and experiences. We welcome qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research, as well as work at any stage of development.

Our COST Action VISTA, Values in Turbulent Times: Navigating Social Changes and Challenges, is officially on! It was great to come together with all the MC members in Brussels this week, and I cannot wait for to the opportunity to collaborate with all the VISTA colleagues over the next four years.

Men also reported a greater increase in both sexual activity and contraceptive use compared to women during the pandemic, raising an important question: who are these men having sex with? This gendered discrepancy highlights the persistence of traditional sexual norms in Turkey.

COVID-19 put a serious strain on couples in Turkey. Our data shows a rise in arguments and intolerance, but also deeper emotional bonds. Take a look at our snapshot for a glimpse into these dynamics:

Our SDL Team presented the preliminary findings on environmental conspiracy theories of our latest project, “Turkey Social Values Survey (TSVS)”, at the Conference on Resilience Against Information Disorder in an Age of Polycrises held at Bilgi University on May 24-25, 2025.
