Poster style color illustration of An Antidote for Strychnine, a song by The Mountain Goats. It's composed of several panels displaying different images based on the song: lab rats, chemicals, fish bones... Green and blue tones predominate, but the band's name and the song title are written in yellow.
Poster-style illustration showing eight different alien species against a white background. The title of the game and the name of each one can also be seen.
Color illustration of a spaceship desk, filled to the brim with retrofuturistic tech. The monitors and lights of the panels light up the scene, and the logo of the game can be seen on the screens.
Comic page, showing some sort of control room inside a dome.

1,300 Iranian civilians murdered by illegal attacks but not a word. There is a deep moral rot at the heart of western liberalism. A grotesque racism
This goes for every streaming thing. If I didn't make a playlist I just want to watch/listen to the thing I picked. Infuriating design tactic.

A nine panel comic strip following two figures as they traverse a barren and desolate landscape - their journey takes them through ruins and abandoned structures of a former civilisation - we realise that this was once our world and the destruction is the result of a massive global war - we also learn that these ruins and wastelands are the home and country of the victors in the war! The strip is titled Deadsun.

Reuters screenshot: Heaviest day of strikes yet on Iran despite market bets that war will end soon The United States and Israel pounded Iran on Tuesday with what the Pentagon and Iranians on the ground called the most intense airstrikes of the war, despite global markets betting that President Donald Trump will seek to end the conflict soon.
How is this the fucking news now?
Drakkhen initially released on PCs like the Commodore Amiga and Atari ST. It was an open world RPG that allowed players (leading their four member party) to freely explore the world without too many restrictions which also meant that there was really nothing to keep overly curious adventurers from dying to its many, almighty dangers early on.

Tommy Robinson is writing for Jerusalem Post, and that makes some people uncomfortable - opinion When journalism abandons the debate over ideas and focuses instead on policing who is permitted to speak, the search for truth quietly gives way to the enforcement of acceptable opinion. Tommy Robinson wears a UTK logo ("Unite The Kingdom") on his clothes as he is seen at a rally in solidarity with protesters in Iran on January 11, 2026 in London, England.

Robinson had previously tried to address βthe Jewish Questionβ in a 2022 article which he deleted shortly afterwards. He divided the Jews into two types β acceptable ones and disreputable ones. He particularly had it in for the Anti-Defamation League β in his eyes a cesspit of Jewish liberalism and subversion internationally.

As long as you found your place! I also dug myself a niche by pursuing a style, but I'm pretty happy with where I ended up!
Oh My God, that sounds almost like a joke! β οΈ
For me that crap started early. First it was in art forums, then I also ran into the same crap in music (percussionists can be such bros), and it took me a while to shed it all off.
I'd rather just do something else than let art become that.
Nowadays I try NOT to do concept art because of iteration and art direction fatigue. In illustration there is so much fun stuff to play with in terms of style and so many variables aside form the fundamentals, that metrics and comparisons are almost never on my mind and I love it that way.
It's obvious the better you are at some key things, the more efficient you'll be at drawing and iterating, but from the way some artists speak I feel they get their satisfaction from "mastery" in almost sporty metrics, and the fact concept art has a speed and performance element just pushes that.
Boss Mary transformation from the OG Silent Hill 2. I manually created each frame with keyframe animation to build this effect back then.
Yeah, I loathe the typical way art is talked about in concept art. In this case there isn't a super push for grinding, but the focus and motivation on improvement always feels extremely off from what drives me.
