I also read about a dinosaur and a chicken and this was their favorite of the two - such a good read-along title and highly recommend, us.macmillan.com/books/978162...
Coqui in the City hits close to home - my family moved from PR to Florida when I was 6, this story is about a boy named Miguel who moved from PR to New York and the author has a similar personal story moving from PR to Ohio. www.penguinrandomhouse.com/books/622987...
Yesterday, I read to elementary school students as part of Nevada Read Week and loved it! There's something special about engaging young readers and it just brought me back to memories of story time in the library. If you're curious, these are the two books I read to first and second graders...

The only other thing that comes to mind is submitting an ILL request through the Medlib-L listserv and seeing who might still carry it in print: www.mlanet.org/communities/... - it's definitely a bummer when publications like these don't have consistent archival content.
Nursing Spectrum was a trade publication that went thru several publishers/owners. I remember coming across it years ago. If you need the full text, youโll likely have to ILL it with a library that has print holdings.

NEW: I and colleagues reviewed 15,000 documents to illuminate how Jeffrey Epstein used VIP doctors to control and manipulate young women* โ and how the doctors helped him, treating his needs as more important than the patients'. Gift link.

Iโm so glad her dad advocated so passionately for her care and ashamed this happened at our local VA. Our veterans matter and they should be fully cared for - full stop. youtu.be/xm0Efv76Oho?...
@macalestercollege.bsky.social I've written a Wikipedia page for Catharine Deaver Lealtad, as well as a blog post:

Sometimes it helps to write about other things while dealing with other things...earlier this week I shared some thoughts on my #blog what #digitalgardening means to me - big takeaway, my attempt as an #academic to #learninpublic: www.aidy.blog/thoughts-on-...
This really is a great picture:

The study found that children enrolled in Partonโs Imagination Library โwere 5 times more likely to be interested in reading, 11 times more likely to be interested in books, and 15 times more likely to join in during shared reading, compared to children who aren't enrolled.โ

What a great photo of Brazilian alpine skier Lucas Pinheiro Braathen, the first South American to ever win a medal at the Winter Olympic Games.
My linocut portrait of Marie Maynard Daly in purples (sheโs a young smiling Black woman, wearing earrings, a necklace and a dress, looking at the viewer over her shoulder). Above her to the right is an anatomical heart with a blowout diagram in a circle of a clogged artery and the cholesterol molecule all in red. Next to her on the left in blue are the molecules of the bases which make up DNA and a diagram of a human cell.

LOVE LIBRARIES ALWAYS
"The stakes: Loser hosts a list of books curated by the winner, directed at the losing region's readers...Though we are divided by football," Boston Public Library wrote, "we are always on the same team in supporting the freedom to read!"
Just caught the latest #RE9 trailer, "Leon, we're running out of time." Ohhh, no you don't, you're not fooling me.
1/ ProPublica collected handwritten letters in mid-January from children held at the Dilley Immigration Processing Center, the same facility where 5-year-old Liam Conejo Ramos was taken.
Hundreds of kids are still detained.
Weโll let the childrenโs words speak for themselves. ๐งต
Totally missed this, the real MVPs of the #Superbowl were the "380 people donned [plant] costumes to make them look like tall stalks of grasses." Also, reading how they put this together is a fascinating read...
btw donโt use Bad Bunnyโs halftime show to call for Puerto Rico statehood - his album is quite literally AGAINST statehood. maybe listen to his body of work before trying to use it to push for more active colonization of our country.
If you didnโt catch the significance of the exploding transformers in Bad Bunnyโs halftime show, I gotcha. Hereโs one of a bunch of pieces I wrote from/on Puerto Rico about the crisisโand Trumpโs role in it. slate.com/news-and-pol...
