And now I have learned that in Southeast Alaska there is a Sumner Strait named after my relative Charles Sumner!
Going north I can think of the Georgia Strait/Strait of Georgia, Johnstone Strait, and Hecate Strait.
Haro Strait and the Strait of Juan de Fuca divide the US from Canada out here. And Rosario Strait separates the islands from the "mainland" (actually multiply-bridge-connected Fidalgo Island).
