Well, that was dumb as hell. I'm on one hell of a deep dive. Serves me right for missing out because I thought heavy riffs needed to be accompanied by dragons and churches on the album jacket.
I avoided this band like the plague for decades, as the modern art visual aesthetic was kind of a turn off. I knew that they were aurally heavy and very influential, but the general vibe was off for me. Maybe it was something about the fans? Seemed kinda pretentious, IDK.
