Hey local friends! The Shakespearean improv troupe I lead has a show coming up this month over at Unexpected Productions. It's been a whirlwind year of founding the group and honing our rhythm. I'm proud of what we've done at bringing more theatrical, queer improv to the stage. Nov 26th, 7pm. $5

So enjoyed acting in a haunted house this year! Played a Victorian Explorer and Werewolf Doorman 🎃💀

The mainstream media has long been insufficient and in poor faith at adequately connecting dots and covering what actually happens at protests. They continuously fail to put stories into bigger pictures. There are those out there that do, but they are often independent journalists, academics, etc.

Chazz Kaskes and I acting it up improvised Shakespeare style on Wednesday at Unexpected Productions Duos Night. A beastly set, indeed!

For Pride, I’m remembering Lucy Hicks Anderson, trans woman who transitioned as a kid in the late 1800s. She was an incredible socialite and cook, so much so that when she was arrested and a banker got her out of jail because they had a party and she was the cook!

We have always been here.

Feeling affirmed goes beyond just pronouns too. For me, calling me "dude", "bro", and other masculine names is very affirming and I've been so thankful to my friends who have been accepting through this transition and treating me like the guy I am 🙏 2/2

If you're not sure about someone's pronouns, ask them. Mistakes happen. The key is to exercise grace for yourself, empathize with the person impacted and their pain, and seek to improve if you're struggling. It really does help to see the individual in their identities. Truly see them. 1/2

I want to transition on my timeline rather than race a ticking clock of attempted federal restrictions (if Chump make any more EOs about it with States complying). Gender-affirming care remains the only medical treatment to relieve gender dysphoria. They can try and erase us, but we still exist.
