As of 12/24/25, USPS changed policy on when they postmark mail. Mail dropped off is no longer guaranteed a same-day postmark. Tax returns & other time-sensitive items are now stamped when they reach a regional processing center, which may be days later. Plan deadlines accordingly to avoid penalties.

Right?? I also learned that one theory for why some birds (like chickens & pigeons) bop their heads back and forth when they walk is that it helps with depth perception.
I have wondered about this, too! Because I know our brains do some processing to interpret what our eyes are taking in, so theirs must do that, too. But what does that then end up looking like to them??
I just learned that the reason owls need to be able to turn their heads so far around is because they don't have eyeballs. No really, their eyes aren't ball-shaped, and they can't move them, so instead, they need to move their heads further. You're welcome. #letslearneverythingpodcast
