oh, and it was the day before my birthday, which was also the first day of senior year, and the first day of the driving portion of driver's ed. i was Upset. (thankfully it was my left leg so driving wasn't impacted)
i walked outside my house, tripped on a root, fell shin-first onto the edge of a concrete stepping stone. some of the worst pain i felt and it didn't heal for like 7 years. pretty sure i bruised my tibia, right in the middle. still have a scar and dent in my leg there lol. stupid cuz it was MY YARD

at this point it's almost better to go around with my right eye (the bad one) covered/closed. it's a terrible idea since it'll literally make it worse but i have considered fashioning a temporary eye patch lmao
