You don't need that 100 words of exposition at the beginning of your flash story. You can write it to help you understand your setting, but delete that shit. The reader does not need it.

These book club scammers sure must be desperate. Not only do they write me multiple times a day but they also send me tons of emails trying to reach other authors. If these fools are trying to make money they sure went big going after the book business. Us writers sure are rolling in dough, right?

What I'm getting at is that I could start a forum on the Space Cowboy website, but would you be interested in using it?
I have to admit thay social media really isn't my thing. But, I do like to keep up with the SFF community which is so dear to me. For this reason I subscribe to lots of mailing lists to get news about authors and books.
I didn't mind the days of forums (remember those).
