Maybe the west end was the outlier? Judging from the snow I shovelled on the sidewalk and on my car, way more than 2 cm. It snowed from about 8 am to 2 ish.

Can we all just agree that no one knows what the weather is going to do - that it’s all just a big ol’ guessing game? I don’t recall any weather forecast predicting the at least 6 cm of snow we’ve received so far in Edmonton today, which I would call significant. It’s so depressing. 😭 #yegwx

None of Smith's referendum questions are likely to result in actual policy change.

Because they require constitutional amendments (federal veto) or are plainly unconstitutional.

I will be interested to see if we broke any records for precipitation in December. It felt (and still feels) like it snowed the entire time.

December has been a brutal month, weather-wise. Snow is good, but there have been few reprieves, the roads are in terrible shape, and the temperature has been January cold. We need a break. Climbing above zero and raining is definitely not that. Would love a week of sunny, snowless -5’s.

I grew up on All in the Family, which thanks to Norman Lear, tackled major political, cultural and religious issues head-on. Meathead/Mike Stivic/Rob Reiner was surely formative in my left-leaning viewpoint. He’s been with me ever since. My fave film - Stand By Me. Perfect from beginning to end.

This December had been god awful. Just brutal.

Why is someone setting off fireworks (that I can actually see) at 6m in the morning when it’s -27C? It happened about an hour ago as well, woke me up. I thought it was streetlights popping. Or our collective last nerve.
