So, if you're a braver writer than me, you take the gig, and write about how much you hate ST:SFA while making it sound AS AWESOME AS POSSIBLE. Then you keep doing it until you get fired.
When the definitive book about the Trump Era finally comes out, what should it be called?
I'll go first: "A Song of Vice and Liars"

HAL JORDAN: This is awkward because when I invited you I thought I was messaging Beast Boy from the Teen Titans.
Nice
TFW you go to modify some old code and you think, "Wait, this shouldn't work...
"HOW DOES THIS WORK?"
"DID I WRITE THIS? WAS I POSSESSED? WHAT IS REALITY?!"

Zohran Mamdani, delivering on the promises he made to the people, just saved this woman $36,000 in childcare fees. He has been in office for eight days.
Update: I am now about 10% pile of ash with eyeballs, and about 90% anthropomorphic coyote.
You know when Wile E. Coyote crawls out from under a boulder and he's an accordion, or he's blown himself up and he's just a pile of ash with eyeballs on top? And then in the next scene he's fine? You never see the part where reconstitutes himself and gets back to normal.
That's where I'm at today.
As a GenXer, I want to take a moment to applaud Gen Alpha for driving everybody crazy with this "6-7" shit.
Don't know what it means. Don't care. But it's really bugging a lot of people way too much, and as a member of one of the original disruptive generations, I am here for that. Nice work.
I will say, it's a mistake you only make once.
My spirit wishes for wings that work. I love as richly, and care as deeply, yet I am steadfastly and eternally bound to the earth, only able to gaze at the skies, dreaming of the heights to which my spirit would take me, if only it were able.
I read a plaque in a secondhand store, this poem kind of, uh, popped out of me:
"My spirit soars on wings of love," a response:
Well deserved. I haven't gotten to all of them yet, but so far, every one is an absolute banger.
...when we got old enough for the world to tell us it was time to put our toys away and grow up.
And we said, "No. Fuck you. I'm not done playing yet."
And this was the beginning of nerd culture taking over the world.
So, you're welcome.
Been thinking a lot lately about things that made us happy when we were kids, and I thought about how, while I'm technically a child of the 70s, I feel like I'm also a child of the 80s and 90s.
And I realized that one of GenX's greatest acts of rebellion was...
Yeah, that sounds interesting.
But overall it's great! Your headshot is particularly good. Are you getting a lot of CW coaching gigs?
I'm recently employed again after being laid off for over a year, and the free time really reawakened my love of writing -- I have a few projects underway.
It looks really good! Just a couple of nits:
The transparent letters in the ISC logo is cool and meta but makes it hard to read at that size. I would outline the letters at least, or fill them.
The only other thing is the "Get in Touch" button on the "Creative Writing page -- the layout is weird.
Sure!
Iβve added a newspaper paywall to the Old Man Yells At Cloud Grandpa Simpson meme. I know it doesnβt make sense for print media.
paywall
Well, that rustles my jimmies
