Mpls. feed: any electrician recs appreciated
My brokerr suggested state farm might cover so I called and at first it seemed like it but then they called back and said they looked it up and they have the same restriction.
So tomorrow morning I have to find some random new insurance OR arrange to have the electrical replaced *immediately *
FUCK
Current homeowners policy ends on the 15th. Renewal offered, mortgage escrow paid it...
got a call this afternoon that they will not cover us. Our circuit breaker is a π« brand.
We have always had the same circuit breaker. I have never lied about the brand. They have covered us for years. WHY NOW?
The same day Frey vetoed a temporary extension of the pre-eviction notice, the MN Senate passed rental assistance andβ¦ a temporary extension of the stateβs pre-eviction notice. Jim Abeler voted for it so Frey & some CMs are to the right of some MN republicans.

Smooch it.
A close up of Dogtor Noodles, Ph.D while he dozes on a gray blanket. There is a lovely pinkness to the tip of his snoot in his upper and lower lips, and his nose is a rosy brown. His fur is a glossy gold. His skull is like concrete and it is full of kisses.
IT'S SNOOT O'CLOCK, Y'ALL.

You can even leave an exhausted voicemail at midnight if you want like your ol pal Reed
I called and left voicemail urging Frey to support the βpause evictions; save livesβ legislation. If you live in Minneapolis, please call!

if i had anything to do with Hennepin County Medical Center and I saw this discourse I would be in danger of lighting things on fire with my mind
Meet MACCβs Barking Black Hole.
Jag is 4 years old and 56 lbs. As you can see he is somewhat of a ham and loves to be pet. He can be dog selective so he would require a meet and greet with your fur friend. He loves treats and full contact cuddling.
A friend saved me with a small temp loan. I thought depositing the check in atm tonight would mean it would hit faster in the morning.
It recorded it with the decimal in the wrong place. Like penny on the dollar. Called and started a claim immediately but now it may take a week. I feel sick.
One minute of the Grain Belt Beer sign and a train crossing the Mississippi River in Minneapolis
Ready for St Patrick's day
Did you drink this too?!
Good grief. What was the liquor? Hope it was delicious.
Describe pls
Seeing ppl circulate projects whose NEH grants were canceled by DOGE reaffirms my argument about AI as a permission structure. Some grants were canceled w/o a βnoβ from the generated summary. DOGE had a mandate to slash humanities funding & AI gave them the veneer of a rationale for their actions.
Timeline cleanse. I always enjoy seeing these videos and drawings on my feed.
Heβs literally trying to use this war to *checks notes*...
Make us forget about the Epstein files, bait us into funding DHS without any guardrails on ICEβs lawless behavior...and now let Netanyahu off the hook.
No, no, and no.
The congressional switchboard number is (202) 224-3121. Put it in your cell phone. Use it. If you're not calling at least once a week, you're not doing your part.
Last year when I was checking into a hotel, the desk person was wearing Meta glasses. I kindly asked them to take them off. They were annoyed. I said, βI do not consent to you looking at my credit card and ID with Meta glasses on.β My instincts were correct: www.bbc.com/news/article...
Congrats to Rep. @katiejonesmpls.bsky.social and family, who biked to the hospital last week and came back with baby Hans. Here's what she told me about the ride:
I profiled Jason Chavez, the Minneapolis city council member who has been embedded in community efforts to combat ICE.
βTo leave your constituents to face off with a racist fascist regime on their own, without having someone that has some powerβ¦I could not let my constituents be out there alone.β
The image shows a rectangular Roman dice tower (turricula) made of four copper alloy (bronze) plates with punched cut-out Latin letters and cut-out decorative patterns. At the bottom front is a stepped exit chute with small bronze bells attached to the opening. The tower is a Roman anti-cheating device. It has an open top and is hollow inside except for three staggered, downward-sloping plates, designed to randomize dice as they fall, ensuring unpredictable dice rolls. When the dice rolled out of the exit chute they rang the bells! There is a decorative dolphin either side of the stepped exit chute. The top of the front plate has two decorative pine cone finials. Height 25 cm. There is a single die shown next to the stepped base to illustrate how it was used. The front inscription reads: PICTOS VICTOS HOSTIS DELETA LVDITE SECVRI Translated as: βThe Picts defeated, the enemy has been destroyed, play in safetyβ. Around the top of the three remaining sides, a second inscription made with cut out letters reads: βUTERI/FELIX/VIVASβ translated as βUse happily; may you live wellβ. Found at a Roman villa at Froitzheim in Germany in 1985.
Roman anti-cheating gaming accessory!
This Roman βturriculaβ (dice tower) was used to ensure a fair roll of the dice! π²π²π²
Dice dropped into the top, tumbled over sloping internal levels, and appeared randomly below.

I wish this was a bit. A little jokey social commentary at the U's expense...
but I know without even doing a search that it's just more hellscape.
