Just watched the first ep of AI Confidential with Hannah Fry on BBC iplayer. It’s a conversation starter for sure. It’s more interesting to see what’s not being said.

When you’ve done something horrific, it’s important never to admit it. And when you see others doing something equally horrific wade in and double down before someone notices you’re keeping awfully quiet, because it’s dawning on you, you are the monster.
I’ve just met my neighbour’s identical twin and although I’ve seen identical twins before, I realise it hasn’t been that often and I am spooked.
Crufts! You can see how much Clare Balding loves dogs. I bet this is one of those jobs that everyone looks forward to. A presenter who knows exactly what they’re doing and a lot of cheeky pups.
Counting the days until I go and see Paddington the Musical. I’ve always been a huge Paddington fan since the original BBC series. I’ve worked with him you know?
It was always going to be a data center, they just needed to get enough interest to raise the capital. Investors are like that, more money than sense, they just needed to be hooked and reeled in.
Considering we sell arms to other countries we therefore know how well designed these bombs are and how accurate they are. So when a bomb hits a school members of our government know that’s not a mistake. Members of our government know civilians are being targeted and that is a war crime.
No problem. Admittedly I wrote it in haste, but no harm done. Have a good day!
The press tried the antisemitism thing on Bernie, because it had worked so well on Corbyn. But Sanders is Jewish, so it didn’t stick in the same way. Just as it won’t stick to Zack Polanski.
It’s not about what the people want though is it? The people don’t matter because they’re poor. It’s all about the rich and what they want. And the rich want to play God with people’s lives, because the power amuses them and they have the money to make it happen. The rich are the problem.
Anyone else got hayfever?
Hope is an act of rebellion. Hope motivates people to join in. Capitalism doesn’t want you have hope, it makes you a terrible consumer. People spend more money when things seem hopeless. So do hope and smile at your neighbours and tell them about your hope to give them hope. Hope is catching.
The headline implies (in a dog whistley way) if we give one demographic their human rights then another demographic may have fewer human rights. It’s a sorry state of affairs when a country with one of the largest economies can’t offer human rights to all humans.
First day of sunscreen because UV forecast is moderate and Baz said so
In all honesty I don’t know what you’re asking me. If you want me to go into depth and have some deep and lasting debate on a microblogging social network I’m not that person, sorry. I just wanted to show support to a leader who believes in human rights. Hope that clears it up.
It’s a clear and readable policy. Are you sure you’re a politician?
OMG. An actual politician who seems to call out bath faith questions from the press and corruption in politics, who believes in actual democracy and not just playing it, who believes in human rights, rather than get rid of them so that the vulnerable can be exploited more. Who wants that?
The legacy press love pushing racist policies. It stops us from looking at who is keeping us sick, poor, stressed, overworked and underpaid.
No it’s not. It’s like laughing at Bill Gates getting an STD and passing it onto his wife. Innocent people get infected from people too.
Just rediscovered “Walking in the sunshine” by Bad Manners. What a cracking tune that still is.I used to love two tone (ska) and then I saw the sorts of people who also loved it. It wasn’t until Combo in ‘This is England’ explained its anti racist origin I realised it was ok to like it.
When FB first came out it never occurred to me that people wouldn’t curate their lives to look more interesting and colourful than they really were. Like if someone asks how you are, you adhere to the social norms. I assumed online would be much the same. It’s interesting to me this didn’t happen.
So if Tron Legacy wasn’t shot on film and Tron Area isn’t shot on film, why does Tron Legacy have a more pleasant quality? I don’t have a strong nostalgia towards these films but Tron Legacy has a beauty to it that is mesmerising.
I once asked a mate “What does your dad do for a living?” She replied defensively “He’s retired”. Foolishly I did not take the hint and I rephrased the question “What did your dad do for a living?” She sighed and said “He designed bombs”.
I heard the UK had preemptively told the US they would not be allowing them to use UK owned airbases. Starmer soon yielded on that one. Which billionaire whispered in his ear? And how much is he being rewarded for allowing more people to die in our name?
Charles Dukes was the UK representative in the drafting of the 1948 universal declaration of human rights. We have human rights for a reason and we should expect our government to respect them, because having a government that reflects the will of the people is also a human right.
The world could be such a nice place if we allowed it. It's all so goddamn unnecessary. There's no need for any of it. It's so beautiful here. It should be so cool to be alive
Since when have we had beef with Iran? Why would we do something like that? Are our leaders so keen to kill people in another country who have caused us no harm? Like WTF?
I really want to watch Hal & Harper solely based on the movie Cha Cha Real Smooth because Cooper Raiff wrote, directed, produced and starred in it. It’s such a beautiful movie because it’s so brutally gentle I cannot find anything else that is as kind to watch and I need that kind of content.
If I’d have a say in it I’d vote for someone who cares is a good team player, who cares about equality and equity and who knows how the BBC can make mistakes and then acknowledges them.
It’s a bit dog whistley isn’t it?
Look at us “radicals” believing in the 1948 universal declaration of human rights.
