I posted this on IG a few days ago and someone commented “the fact is, we don’t know who ‘will be harmed,’ or HOW they will be harmed. We just need to wait and see.”
When you meet a new person who is full time faculty at #sbl/aar2024 and they ask about you and you respond saying you adjunct and your full time job is running an interfaith advocacy org and they have no idea how to respond so they abruptly walk away. #awkwardacademic
At my first panel in #sbl/aar2024. I saw someone I knew who was sitting down. Still standing, I leaned in for a hug. Midway in my lean I realized I was not getting a hug back so I shifted my weight and fell face first into the chair next to them. #awkwardacademic
