Goblin boss! π§First boss proto complete for working title "hold my wand". Was fun implementing & is a step up from the wolf mob. Change directions or he will intercept you with his charge or slingshot. Now time for some environment work!

New enemy type for my game hold my wand is finished for now. The wolf will occasionally charge using intercept math on where you are going, not where you were!

Well - for me I like it because I can make most 2D games very fast and it just βclicksβ for me. I also mix in a lot of JavaScript with the event sheets which you donβt need to do but gives you the ability to make more complex systems when needed. Lots of good free alternatives but I still use it lol

Spent some time today on adding some spawn portals! Didn't want to just have them spawn off screen anymore :D I think it is coming together

Ignore the giant rats which are errr giant. Added spiders with spidey sense that try to get out of the way of your attacks.
Now need to set up the other 10 or so enemies in the first zone.

Finished my entry "hold my wand." for the #GDKO and #Construct3 game jams going on. It is an incremental game blending some prior work I have done and inspiration from nodebuster. For a jam I feel that I got this pretty far! Makes me want to finish it.

Some progress on my #GDKO and #Construct3 jam entry. A nodebuster style idle progression. Features flood fill pathfinding/repulsion systems for the enemies following the elemental orbs floating around. Your attacks rotate between elements and you do / take dmg based on the combinations.

Zooming way out to show how the stage generation is turning out using a mix of seeding and wave function collapse. The star's will be hand crafted rooms that players will need to clear to beat the stage. Numbers are calculated "reward" drop points for exploring further. Fun times!

Pretty happy with where I have performance at. 2k enemies and holding 60 fps with z ordering, pathfinding & separation. Been fun diving back into this. Just finished revamping the level generation, now to work on the primary game loop of clearing the stages.

Tinkering with this project again. Added new controls besides shooting/dodging. One is an aimed "melee" attack & one is a "special" for screen clearing types of abilities. For melee, I am currently using the move angle (left stick).. but should it be the aim angle (right stick)?

Twist on a classic where you have to stack your bricks. Currently has 5 unique game mod bricks. Art is currently from @kenney.bsky.social π€
