You already have a powerful gaming PC. Sony is doing this for the people who are jumping into a new generation and deciding whether to get a PS, Xbox, or PC
They have a need if they want to play Sony games.
Also there’s many people that decide between getting a gaming PC or getting a PlayStation. Having exclusives pushes some to choose PlayStation
