Mamdani has been stonewalling journalists for weeks now on the questions of what his administration is going to do about NYU Langone and Mt Sinai. They still haven't responded but they had this announcement today. They won't even tell us the truth.
It's very clear the Mamdani administration are scared of the Trump admin on trans youth healthcare but don't want to admit it. So they're doing this round about representation bs. Just admit you don't think fighting for trans youth is worth the risk now and save us all some time.
I want to congratulate Taylor on this, it's a huge accomplishment and she's a fantastic attorney.
However, Mamdani is clearly using this to deflect from the fact he has done nothing as NYC hospitals violate the law and deny care to trans youth. We want action, not representation.
