Parking is limited, please walk, bike, carpool, or bus if possible! food donations for our local food banks can be dropped off at the pop up tent in the unitarian universalists parking lot on south st. please bring non-expired, unopened, non-perishable food with nutrition labels and ingredients list. Food should be nutritious, such as canned proteins, peanut butter, pasta & canned veggies.

[At top of post] so what are your rights? you don’t need a permit to protest in response to breaking news when on public property such as sidewalks and you don’t need a permit to march on the sidewalks as long as you are not obstructing traffic flow or entrance to buildings you have the right to photograph anything in plain view such as federal buildings and police when you’re lawfully present in any public space [At bottom of post]

Figure out your route there and back ahead of time, whether its carpool, bus, or bike, figure out your best route ahead of time. review the first aid station, ensure that you have access to medication, first aid kits, water, and a safe place to rest at the protest. [top of post] what not to bring to a protest [underneath that text] eye contacts, opt for glasses instead. jewlery, if you have a rubber ring, wear that instead of metal ones. absolutely no loose jewelry. You might want to consider leaving your phone at home or keeping it on airplane mode, leaving debit and credit cards and using cash instead.
