A farewell letter to 2025. When I gave in and began writing my first JayVik fic, I never would've guessed I'd dedicate so much of myself to it. Everyone who knows me IRL knows I have a poor track record of finishing any story I've written, so being able to write a total of 56 stories since I boarded this ship last December 2025 is something I'm very proud of. JayVik has challenged me to be more responsible by learning and understanding different disabilities and being transgender. This is something very unique to all of the ships I've boarded in the past because I've never been in a fandom where such topics are commonly discussed. It's a new experience, and I learn a lot from the lived experiences of others in this community who are disabled, trans, or both. Now, I'm not going to bore you with a story about my debilitating depression and how writing insane, cracky, and whimsical fics is my way of dealing with what I can never escape inside me. However, I want you to know that every story I've written has evolved from WhatsApp conversations between me and my boyfriend into something more. Most of my life I've been a reader across various ships. In my journey as a JayVik fanfic writer, all I've ever wanted is for my stories to become what every fanfic I've read was to me: an escape from a tiresome reality, a distraction from a terrible feeling, something to pass time, the reason someone's heavy heart becomes lighter, or even why there's a smile or a laugh coming from a random stranger reading from their phone in public.

Hell, it could also be the reason you reach your climax. I wouldn't know what any of you do with my fics if I'm being honest, but considering most of them are explicit... Either way, I'm grateful to have helped my fellow perverts and gooners in any way I can as you use my smut fics as intended. I am very familiar with every kind reader of mine who has always commented on my works. Reading every single one of them, even the notes on the public bookmarks, have brought me this far into my journey. I have said this before and I'll say it again: I am nothing without you, nor would I have written so much had you not kept me going. Every kudos, bookmark, comment, RT, etc. motivates me because I know there will always be someone out there looking forward to a new JayVik fic I've written. Who would've thought! At the end of the day, a writer's works are meant to be read. I am happy that you consume each one and enjoy them, even if at times writing becomes a struggle for me because of my own limitations as a human being. I tell myself that I want to become the kind of writer who, once you discover their ao3 account by accident, will feel like you tripped straight into a treasure trove of JayVik fics (especially for my beloved bottom Viktor lovers out there) in the middle of the night. For that, I will always be grateful. Here's to another year of Jayce and Viktor falling in love in old and new ways, and Jayce getting his bıg dıck mılked dry and Viktor getting every họle stụffed with glọbs of cụm.

To end this letter, I would like to quote something someone once said: "AND NOTHING FOR JAYVIK!" Happy New Year, everyone! Here's to another very JayVik 2026! Love, dioscums :)
