And Torres
Oh what fantastic news!! We lost our beloved Max in November to a burst spleen tumour, so I was so worried for Jock, but so happy to read this news π
Oh poor Jock, and poor you! Fingers crossed for good news
The utter sham of offsets, yet again...
βDestroying the equivalent of 40 MCGs worth of greater glider habitat and then attempting to relocate all hollows and claim this somehow offsets the harm to greater gliders is genuinely deluded, and contemptuous.β - me

Thatβs a beautiful tribute.
And also the Ausnet outage, in the middle of a heatwave?
As an Australian of Jewish background, I was not at all, as the SMH suggested, "deeply hurt and offended" by Cathy Wilcox's brilliant, accurate cartoon.
I am deeply concerned and alarmed that a mainstream media agency is so craven that they buckle to Israel lobby bullying. #IStandWithCathyWilcox
Statement: Jewish Council Condemns Adelaide Festival Removal of Dr. Randa Abdel-Fattah
Thank you
Never forget the evil that is the Israeli govt.

My god how quickly we have capitulated. This is a man who was happily photographed signing bombs to be launched on Gaza. Pandering to this man does not help Australiaβs Jewish community one bit.
In December 2023, Isaac Herzog was pictured signing bombs to be dropped on the men, women & children including babies of Gaza.
In December 2025, the prime minister of Australia @albomp.bsky.social invited Isaac Herzog to visit with him in Australia.
There is no saving @australianlabor.bsky.social.
Ahmed al-Ahmed, the man who disarmed one of the shooters at Bondi Beach in Sydney today, is a Syrian Muslim.
He's in hospital, right now. He's a braver man than most I think would be in his situation.
He's the spirit of Chanukkah -- he keeps the lamps of hope burning. That's for remembrance.
Because itβs not getting reported on enough:
Muslim fruit shop owner Ahmed al Ahmed, father of two, was the hero who bravely tackled one of the Bondi Beach shooters and took away his gun.
He saved lives during a major terror attack. Say his name, and honor the lives of the victims of the shooters
I noticed that there were often several dogs with the same second name. So does that mean they arrived at the same time?
I love that site! But - Iβve always wondered what is the significance of the βfamilyβ names?
Any Melbournian who supports the Jewish claim to Israel because they occupied it 2000 years ago can hardly dispute the rights of traditional owners who lived in the Melbourne region for 50,000 years or more.
I love that parkrun course, especially the soft track beside it
To be clearβ
I don't hate Jews, nor Judaism.
I DO hate: genocide, apartheid, ethnic cleansing, racism, Zionism, ethnosupremacy, white supremacy and settler-colonial 'occupation'.
And therefore: Israel has my ire. Not Jews. Not Judaism. #GazaGenocide #GazaHolocaust
It was awarded by teachers (or the local pool instructor?) as part of learning to swim.
I have a vague memory of going through some of the various steps towards the bronze medallion in the late 1960s. Swimming a set distance (both freestyle and underwater), treading water for a set time, safety jump, and maybe diving?
I sometimes see (or hear) them at Lillydale Lake. Plenty of them around at Healesville when the hakeas and melaleucas are in flower/nut
Ooh I canβt wait!
Oh Iβm so sorry.
Oh wow, great effort!
This is Monty and Charlie. Monty's back legs are paralyzed. But that doesn't mean he can't race his brother on walks. 14/10 for both (TT: amqzak)
Iβve just had my second total knee replacement under NIB with full hospital cover. Theyβre not cheap but I canβt fault the coverage. The Rehab-in-the-home program is fantastic, and is backed up by phone support from a dedicated specialist nurse.
Watch out for qualifying periods though
