6/6 Oregon H.B. 4127 would ensure reproductive health care clinics continue to receive state funding to provide Medicaid recipients with contraception, STI testing, and other reproductive services. This resolution was introduced in the state House and is moving through the legislature.
5/6 Hawai’i S.R. 7 is a resolution reinforcing that hospitals are required to provide pregnant people with emergency care, including abortion, as required by federal law OR the federal Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA). This resolution was introduced and sent to the HSS committee!
4/6 New Mexico S.B. 30 would repeal the state’s mandatory abortion reporting requirement. This bill has passed both the state Senate and House and if enacted it will take effect on May 20, 2026.
3/6 Virginia SB 361 would mandate that health insurance carriers provide coverage for FDA-approved contraceptive drugs, devices, and products, including those available over-the-counter, without any copayment. This bill has passed the state Senate and now moves onto a House vote!
2/6 Alabama SJR 20 is a resolution recognizing Alabama Birth Equity Initiative's work in advancing birthing care. ABEI is a Black women-led coalition working to shift AL's maternal health outcomes through midwifery training and policy advocacy. This resolution has been adopted!
