Theyβre great, but I was a bigger fan of the original Chic (Ed Farhat).
Whenever I see Chic Donovan's name in print, I am tempted to pronounce it "sheek," like the disco group.
But then would Ric Flair be Reek?

I might have to try this.
Better than Crunchy, I suppose
One of the absolute best. RJ's gonna crush it in his new role.

Also - on the introductions, Lord Alfred Hayes may have been winging it.
Never introduced Jimmy Hart or Bob Orton, and announced Orndorff as being from Atlanta instead of Tampa.
Bomb cyclone sounds like a NJPW finisher.
Thatβs awesome!
Lost track of the number of times Iβve been told βnobody really knows that personβ as a rejection to a historical pitch. And Iβm like βyeahβ¦ which is why we should write it.β π€·ββοΈ
Every time someone tells me thereβs no audience for historical content, I assume that person lacks the courage to give their own audience credit for being intellectually curious.
Documentaries do well. No reason well-written histories canβt do the same.
A Mattel action figure of Bobby Heenan is shown in package with two pointing fingers, positioned in a way that makes it look like an insulting gesture at first glance.
Iβd like to think someone at Mattel positioned these hands in a slightly deceptive way because they understood Bobby Heenanβs sense of humor.

I saw a guy leave Subway with just a bottle of Pepsi today, and now I've got "Institutionalized" stuck in my head.
Havenβt seen one of these in the wild since probably 1986.
Among Johnny Legend's many wrestling credits:
- He was an Olympic Auditorium regular.
- He was the man behind Fred Blassie's "Pencil Neck Geek" record.
- He produced the Andy Kaufman classic "My Breakfast With Blassie," after which his sister, Lynne, became Andy's girlfriend.

I'm still upset about Chili's removing original chicken crispers from its menu, so I can relate to this.
In recognition of John Cenaβs last match, I made a holiday donation to Toys for Tots.

π Extremely rare wrestling photos alert π¨
I acquired a set of old wrestling pics from an early-50s Gorgeous George match. I pinpointed the date, location & opponent (with an interesting story of his own). See the entire set (with the full story) on my YouTube: youtu.be/TB65hMFTyHY?...

The Toast of the Coast. The Human Orchid. The one and only Gorgeous George Wagner.
This is believed to be a fan-shot photo from one of Georgeβs non-TV bouts. Using visual clues and a bit of research, Iβve identified the date, location & opponent.
Details coming soon! #wrestling #wrestlesky π€Ό
Screenshot from a WWE Vault YouTube video showing Terry Funk and Bradshaw in the ring. I am sitting camera side in the second row. I've circled myself in red.

Sad to see this news.

Binghamton Rumble Ponies baseball game with hot air balloons flying behind the outfield, August 2, 2025
Excellent! My old hometown. I went on the same day as the annual hot air balloon rally. You can faintly see the balloons flying behind the outfield.
That is awesome. By the way, not sure if itβs on your itinerary, but I took in a Binghamton Rumble Ponies game about a month ago. Not far from βCuse.
Brother, out of all the folks I follow on this app, youβre one who genuinely seems to be living his best life. Love to see it! Enjoy the game.
