This usually looks a little strange - that's because body hair doesn't have the weight to fall straight down. instead, body hair tends to flow with the shape of the body. consider the center line of the bod as a convergence point, where the hair around it flows kind of like a rip current.

Hair grows everywhere! If you want to commit to drawing bears: very hairy people will likely have hair on their shoulders, upper arms, back, etc.

The text on the image reads: typically, the denser the hair, the darker it will be. Adding a variety of shades is important to selling the look! I personally like to add density into the lineart itself, with the thicker black lines representing the densest areas. For someone particularly hairy, the hair will actually obscure the shape of things like the pecs and abs, so i will paint over or erase chunks of the lineart to show the hair is laying on top of the body. Lines should overlap, especially in the thickest areas.
