I did some searching, and I thought this version of the cards was so stunning, so I wanted to do it.

It's my first time working with watercolours or watercolour pencils, so I was a little nervous, but I am fairly happy with how it turned out. I hope he likes it!

One of my wife's coworkers got ahold of some free watercolour pencils and paper for me, and I was so excited to test them out! I wanted to say thank you, and a piece of art using the supplies was the obvious choice. He's a fan of Fallout, so she suggested I do something based off a deck of cards!

Personally I love Confusion Corner, because I find it a little funny how much it freaks people out! I used to live 2 blocks from it so I was just so used to it, and I can direct you which lane to get into a kilometre ahead of time 🗺️. Very Elle Woods, "what, like it's hard?" 💅

I went with a small-town café/diner idea, I love that aesthetic and I had fun drawing Aiko this year. I did one entry, I am too slow at drawing to have multiple entries, hahahaha. I improved a lot since last year considering I draw people so rarely, but I'd like to get better before next year!

When I first drew this in my sketchbook I had a totally different colour palette in mind, but seeing Chappell Roan finally getting her flowers a few months ago I felt compelled to turn my little guy into a Pink Pony Club enthusiast. 💖Maybe I'll do some colour variations later?

Seeing buses from different cities is so weird, I was like why is it BLUE

I fell asleep on the couch last night and I feel like my body is just one big bruise. Aging truly is magical.

It's just hard, since when I finish it digitally I get as many tries as I want to get the lines right, but with markers, one wrong move and they all look wonky 😭Maybe I'll try more of this, or see how it looks if I do it digitally?

I made a ton of mistakes, but I really enjoyed stepping out of my comfort zone and trying to learn something new. It's super nerve-wracking to post since I never put my sketchbook versions up, but I want to share more of that!

I was inspired to try a bit of a new style in my sketchbook, too! Usually I go for more hard lines and a cartoony style, but I worked more with my markers and shading which was a lot of fun!
