I will continue to poke away at the problem until I run out of funds, but so far I have been unsuccessful in finding any supports outside of that 11 weeks of EI.

Yeah, the province was...unhelpful. I am continuing to pursue that, but even if they decide to help, and even with the federal pharmacare funds addition, BC's pharmacare implementation would only cover 1x of 7x meds...and the cheapest one at that.
If you're on Simpcw land, then you know how dire the job market is out here for folks who can't stand for more than 5 minutes, and who can't get living wage remote work. It's a bad time for the entire trench.
I won't do that to her. So I am looking now at all my options while I still have a couple months' worth of savings left to find a solution.
My meds are like $1500 a month, my dietary requirements (due to the diabetes and a couple other things) out me at around $15-$25 a day for food...I'm just *expensive to keep alive*.
And if I can't bring in more than I cost then me just existing is going to cost my wife the house and/or retirement.
Can't get pharmacare because that's based on your past two years of income, and I'll be forced into selling my home to pay the bills before I get two years out from being laid off. Ditto dental care. (Which sucks, as I lost a filling in December.)
