I’ve definitely felt a change in my physical wellness - I think the combination of quitting alcohol and getting on a decent birth control for hormone balancing fixed like 80% of my issues overall. My depression is definitely more manageable too and isn’t a 24/7 thing

It definitely has, I was never a hard drinker to begin with but having PMDD (alcohol can mess with people who have it differently) was definitely a sign to stop completely, plus spiritual/cultural reasons. I’m definitely more clear-headed now too

PSA for cat owners in the US: cats have been contracting H5N1 (bird flu). They are very susceptible to it and the fatality rate for cats is 67%. To avoid it:

-keep your cats indoors. They can catch it from infected birds and mice.

-do not feed them raw dairy

-do not feed them raw meat

I think part of the reason I struggle with making friends as a sober person is that everyone is constantly smoking and drinking and they don’t know how to have fun (or generally exist) without being intoxicated
