Two folks strolling through Gibbs Gardens in a field of daffodils in shades of yellow, yellow forsythia, white spirea and the greenest of grass pathways.
Wandering and wondering in yellow.

Look at this gorgeous early medieval replica bed based on an archaeological find!
It was made for the prehistorischdorp.nl museum by Martijn van Gerwen from Het Noeste Leven. (www.hetnoesteleven.nl).

This is Treasure Falls on Wolf Creek Pass. A 150β drop made even more spectacular when frozen half-way up the sheer rock face. Great short hike and for those with less mobility you can see nearly this view from the parking lot! #Nature #CanonPhotographer #Photography

Reading this afterword by John T. Sladek for his story βThe Happy Breedβ about a world in which humanity had given up all of its thinking to machinesβ¦
Read the penultimate paragraph on this page and try not to think about the plagiarism/cheating machines that make up current LLM technology.
Yellow and orange sunrise. A building with a white steeple in front of the sunrise. Two naked trees in the foreground.
I took this picture 6yrs ago today. I was walking to the train and caught this sunrise over my town hall in suburban NJ.
It also happened to be the last day I would commute into the city, as I decided to stop coming in bc of covid.
WHO declared covid a pandemic the next day, March 11.
Reminds me of.....

An Edward Gorey drawing showing a morose looking black bird on a branch. He (and this feels very much like a he) is pointing downwards with one scraggly wing, and looking straight ahead with debt-filled eyes. His beak is long and sharp, like winter on the Great Plains. He is pointing with his right wing, but this means he is pointing to your left. Your wicked, sinister side. This is no accident. The Bird makes no such mistakes. But he is talking, and the text tells us that he is saying, "Beware of this and that." Honestly, you feel his message in your bones.
Some days I just feel like this Edward Gorey bird gets it.

The bastard squirrels didn't eat your bulbs, (sniff).
You wouldn't believe how many people just don't catch the politics of Star Wars and think it's only about lightsabers. I once had to explain to grown-ass men that all science fiction is inherently political and they thought I was being unreasonable.
Blue grape hyacinth
More muscari, earlier flowering than mine but not as fancy! π±

Several tables are set with individuals behind them waiting to be served. The tables have signs β Education, Sciences, Arts, Healthcareβ¦ no one is serving them. All of the servers are delivering piles of money to the table where WAR is sitting. Political cartoon is from the 1950s Nothing has changed.
It has been this way since time immemorial.
Spending a billion a day on a βnotβ war.
Meanwhile, all you suckers can starve, die because you canβt afford healthcare or find new treatments for disease. And who the fuck needs education and arts?
We arenβt mad enough!!
