NOW: House Republicans are pushing an amendment to the state budget that would rip health care away from vulnerable Marylanders, including kids — at a time when Trump’s White House is cutting access to health care in the state.

This is not responsible governing.

Responsible governing is hard but MD House Dems have a balanced plan to keep Maryland strong.

Marylanders overwhelmingly agreed that abortion care is healthcare and a fundamental right.

Today, the House passed HB930 to make sure that abortion clinics can stay open so we can provide adequate access and uphold reproductive rights.

Spent my morning meeting students from UMD’s School of Public Policy and Master’s in Public Admin program at the State House. I shared my journey to the House and the importance of authentic and unapologetic servant leadership. Excited to see these future leaders shape the future of Maryland!

Happening now in the Md. House: Republicans offering unconstitutional amendments to restrict abortion, months after Marylanders voted overwhelmingly to enshrine reproductive rights in our state constitution. House Democrats are voting all of these amendments down. The bill is HB 930 (Del. Lopez).

When the federal government is abolishing the Department of education, we are making education gains for real students across MD.
