10+ year loans are a thing now which is just mind boggling to me. For a car.

Of course. Keeping up with the Joneses is real. But still, no one is making anyone keep up with the neighbors. We do that to ourselves. Social pressure makes that hard to do, I get that. But still a personal choice.
Yes. The proliferation of the Tik Tok βuse other peopleβs money to get rich quickβ vids is amazing. But people like to believe there is an easy button to vast riches. Why lotteries are popular. And gambling.
No. IT.
I agree from the perspective that lots think if they just work hard everything will work out. I do think it takes more than that. Ability and willingness to realize where you are, recognize where you want to be, and make changes accordingly. No one is going to come along and just hand you a fortune.
But also think we have to be grown up enough to resist. Thatβs hard, I get it. But still, saying it is not our fault is rationalizing to avoid personal agency in our personal decision making.
Totally agree.
We're a nation of spoiled children who think we "deserve" everything we want. New iphone a year, eating out, new car every 3 years, etc. People have conditioned themselves to spend beyond their means. Instant gratification dopamine hit? I'll die anyways? Lots of self rationalization going on.
sweet!
? Maga Christianity is all about exclusion.
Wow. Contrition. Nice to see from a GOPer.
I'm an athiest and I completely agree with you.
Ok, I literally βLOLβ at this one. Well played.
I have nothing against true Christian values. But MAGA is not Christian. Not by a long shot. I have no problem with Talarico.
trumpβs biggest superpower is the ability to tell his most ardent supporters what idiots they are for believing his promises and knowing theyβll just say βplease sir can i have anotherβ
βWhimsβ being a very apt description.
Hard agree. Unless a drone strikes the school where their kids go, at best itβs just an abstract event happening βsomewhereβ and not their problem. Itβs apathy that will bring down the republic. Touch of nihilism in there too.
It could not be more obvious that the president does not care about US service members and in fact regards their deaths as mere political inconveniences. He has more sympathy for Putin than Americans who died because he decided to wage illegal war. Just listen to him.
The voting βlevel of democracyβ is the most useful tool for most of us. That and donating time/money to candidates. But even that is for naught if people donβt vote.
MAGA will love it. Sticking it to others is what fuels them. How far we have fallen.
Yes. And the less aware they are aware of events around them, the more true this is.
Foreign policy is very low on voterβs scorecard. At the bottom. Just way it is.
Itβs an interesting concept I was not aware of. I can see how it can happen though.
We are a deeply unserious country. We put a reality show host in as POTUS, and an opinion host in charge of the military.
Stunning.
βIf it bleeds, it leadsβ. Trump is the chaos POTUS, and that sells.
Iβll never get over that this country put this sack of sh*t back in the White House.
Thing is, in this WH it is expected people are grifting off govβt contracts. The only sin is not giving the big boss a cut.
The killing of Iranian children during an illegal war is an impeachable offense (not to mention a grave crime) and Congress should really act like it.
15 Republicans in the Senate could end this nightmare before it somehow gets even worse.
Total word salad of nothingness
