Disco Elysium is one of those games that really shows that video games are art.
It was so impactful on my first playthrough a few years ago but going through it a second time with more life experience has gut-punched me so many times

At the pub quiz! Time to get a stark reminder that I'm not as intelligent as I think I am!
Nothing in a game infuriates me more than when I can't pause in dialogue.
Why don't you let me pause dialogue?!!???!??!!???!?!?
Tomorrow I'll finally be able to play it. I'm looking forward to giving it a go
I haven't even started oathbringer yet I'm so jealous of everyone who's fully caught up with stormlight!
Yep. I'm an attentive player who is always fully focused on the game
Dungeons and Dragons? More like FUN-geons and RAD-ons
Haven't been able to play it yet but I've watched my friend play and it looks fun. Won't be a while until I'll be able to experience it myself though :(
There are times when I love PC gaming (ultra quality graphics, 240 FPS that sorta thing) and there are times when I hate PC gaming (my friend's microphone has just stopped working and we've been troubleshooting for an hour and nothing has changed)
people say βyou need to start living in the real worldβ but they forget that the real world includes lupines and lightning bugs and ginger beer and starlight and sea coasts and Renoir paintings and Rachmaninoffβs piano concertos and fog banks and foxes playing in snow.
I regained my love of reading this year and I'm so happy.
I went from reading a book every 6-12 months to having read 18 books in total this year.
I'm going to beat that number next year
A picture of a sunset taken in a field
A picture of a dog standing in a field with the sunset in the background
Sometimes all you need is a walk in the countryside with your dog
Getting through the backlog truly is a Sisyphean task
Sitting and staring at my games collection with over 150 games and not knowing what to play seems like an odd dilemma to have and yet I have it
The fact that writers can use various combinations of 26 letters to make me care about people who never existed and then destroy me emotionally by making them suffer is the weirdest, most unfair, and wonderful of magics
Forget dodging a bullet, this is like dodging an intercontinental ballistic missile
There are few things better than the feeling of starting a new book
Okay I think we're engaged in a battle of wits and I'm unarmed.
Do you think we could move this to DMs so I could ask you more about what the words you've said mean? I understand the trinity and who Plato is but that's about it
Stormlight Archive! I've only read up to Edgedancer but I love this series!
I also would love to have a discussion on christian metaphysics. I love philosophy but I haven't strayed into theology that much so it'd be fun
Alright I'll check it out. Thank you!
Do you have any recommendations for other books I should read? I'm new to Sanderson's work so I don't know much about his wider Cosmere stuff
That's a good idea but I'm super into the Stormlight Archive specifically so I can't continue that series until Christmas day. It gives me something to look forward to I guess
I finished Edgedancer today. Brandon Sanderson is an absolute master of the craft but I made the stupid decision of asking for Oathbringer for Christmas so now I have to wait over a month to continue the series
That inevitable moment in a D&D session when everyone gets distracted by the soundboard on discord so we spam dumb sounds for 5 minutes then carry on like nothing happened
Haven't played Life is Strange in almost 10 years and it still hits in the feels
I have to say the Stormlight Archive. The system of currency also being the source from which some people draw their power is so interesting.
Another choice would be the book Soulstealer which had a really interesting magic system. There's only one book so far but I'm excited to see how it grows
Who here likes books?
Personally I found your "losing in comp should I kms" post very funny
I always forget how wonderfully charming PokΓ©mon games are until I replay them
