Zoro stirred with the creeping sun, insistent in its job of blinding him. With a groan, he attempted to turn over and raise his blanket over his head, but found that he could neither move nor reach it with the heavy weight on his body. He opened his eyes to confirm that such weight was his best friend, Luffy, sitting on his chest. Luffy didn’t seem to notice that Zoro was awake, and was content to wait and scroll on his phone. “Luffy?” Zoro croaked, voice hoarse and raspy. He had terrible cotton-mouth, saliva thick and tacky. He was sure that his breath reeked, and could practically smell the alcohol through his sweat. “Oh, hey, you’re up!” Luffy moved to straddle his chest, dropping a knee on each side and pinning Zoro’s arms to the bed. In any other situation, with any other two people, this may have been seen as a very suggestive position, but it wasn’t too out of the ordinary for them. “The fuck, Luff?” Zoro attempted to wiggle out from under the weight of Luffy’s body. “It’s not my turn to do laundry, tell Nami to call you off.” “This isn’t about anything other than the drinking.” Luffy said simply. “I don’t know what you’re talking about.” Though the words fell lamely from his lips. He knew. Luffy knew. They all knew. And those big, brown eyes stared back at him with more intelligence than anyone gave Luffy credit for; along with a sliver of silly bitchiness that Zoro nearly chuckled at…or would have, if not for this scenario. Zoro dropped his head down with a thud against his pillow. “Fuck.”
