There are some incredibly vital issues at this moment in time that go beyond like, oh we disagree on marginal tax rates but we can still be friendly. Trans rights are one of those issues. Trans rights are human rights and those are not negotiable. (see also: genocide; fascism. not unrelated!)

everything you as a democrat hate about what trump is doing has been means tested on trans people. everything. the democracy you want to save, we were the test case for ending it.
and it started with making you angry about trans people in sports.
a lot of rank and file dems do not seem to understand that trans people are in an existential battle for our right to be part of society right now. the government today is trying to use employment law and federal extortion to ban us from bathrooms.

This was in defiance and dissent against Skrmetti, a demonic SCOTUS ruling that will kill so, so many trans people.
