Yeah there was an opportunity there to do something different, but it's easier to just go with body horror. I get it, they're creepy, but I wish it was more than just skin deep. Lady D was huge, yes, but she was hot and still terrifying.

Horror loves to demonise the 'other'. Amputees, blind people, morbidly skinny/obese, visibly scarred - they're always fair game and it feels cheap.
Give me a complex villain with twisted morals and a disturbing backstory over one that 'looks gross' any day of the week.
