Went to New Zealand on (our) winter break and it was an amazing trip. So many birds! Also, eels! Tuatara! Pohutukawa flowering!
My husband rented a knee scooter a few months ago for a broken foot, and it was super helpful. He mainly used it outside the house and had to get the hang of the turning radius, but it was worlds better than crutches.

Fall migration is well underway! Our first three painted buntings showed up in the yard yesterday, and the first two catbirds today. Hopefully they'll all be hanging out all winter!
