I too watched the remake first, loved it.
When I came to watch the original, I was already tainted and kept making the comparisons.
Slopmosis.
The osmotic absorption of brands until everything shares the same flavourless aesthetic.
It doesn't curate, it accumulates.
Everything it touches gets flattened. The machine just keeps adding because adding is the only move it knows.
Even using the term brand makes me feel dirty.
The rush to implement is what worries me the most.
With emerging tech, it takes time for it to work properly, time to implement, correct and get right.
But with all this AI shit, they are just pumping it out as fast as they can.
Its nefarious.
I can see the future headlines and they are all as bleak as can be.
Everyone's got a #lightning rod of truth shoved somewhere uncomfortable.
Both ends conducting. Both ends glowing.
The actual storm makes landfall somewhere nobody's paying attention.

Highguard is very much in that Overwatch, Fortnite looser shooter category.
The players it attracts are a lot less forgiving than RPG fans who played F76.
#Bountiful compassion from people who've never needed it. Aimed at people who never asked for it.
The oppressed weren't consulted when the placards came out.
They weren't asked their opinions when the slogans started bellowing.
Because asking would be bad for the narrative.

The only difference I see is F76 was an existing IP with a fan base even with the reception they knew Fallout players were there, they just had to fix it to keep them.
Highguard didn't have that luxury.
Gorillaz have this genre bending vibe that feels out of time.
Franz Ferdinand very much feels like that The Strokes, White Stripes, The Hives garage band era.
Even if I like and listen to all of them, they feel dated to that specific time.
It's hard to pinpoint. I love what we have, the world, lore, stories, gameplay.
But... Night City itself is both complete & wasted potential at the same time. It's that "left wanting more" thing that keeps me thinking about the world.
Kinda like when you move country & still dream of home.
They're too old for that.

Efeds for wrestling RPing used to be a thing. Other RPing in video games like #GTA and #FFXIV exist.
I can't see any reason why you couldn't do this for TTRPGs as well.

You'd have to adapt it to being in the world, rather than a narrative story based around your crew.
If an App was set up to allow ongoing games, not only text based but videos too.
You wouldn't need AI.

They could come & go as they please & while the DM would need to adapt to the fact players are interchangeable.
This could still exist, could still be done and without AI slop.

If 1 month is the time frame, I'll do it & I'll self publish the finished result.
1/2 I've seen this quote by some AI hack & arguments that it also takes a month to polish AI slop.
I'm tempted to take the challenge, Can I as a human, write a novel in a month?
Given I've been taking part in #FlashFicFeb & writing daily. I think I could do it.

With Cyberpunk any group I've joined always had some slant on the rules.
Its one of things I love about it over other TTRPGs is just how much home brewing goes on.
Less "snobbery" in those groups when it comes to newcomers too.
