Thank you, Alexander.
It's my birthday, and ducks are an easy win for me.
The problem was libre office. Open source works until it borks everything, aka the classic firefox gambit.
Oh don't, I need very little tempting even though the trip will be quite expensive.
An hour before a job interview on teams by pc decided it was going to crash the hard way, over and over. Windows gotta windows. Hope it went well because my computer is currently incommunicado and in a diagnosis cycle.
Its going to be a late one cause of this... Fun.
Oh wow. Thank you for letting me know.
Otoboke Beaver are playing London in June, and they are a band I'd love to see live. Japanese bands are just uniformly amazing live, umming and ahhing whether I just venture down for it. Hmm... Let's give it a week or two to see if any other dates are announced.
We'll be picking up on Slamdance soon, but for now, we head to Glasgow @frightfest.bsky.social starting with Vasily Chuprina's Jailbroken, a one room crime thriller with a breakout performance from Bryan Larkin.

Although we caught it at #fantasticfest, Kenichi Ugana's The Curse has also had its UK premiere. Again, read @uncutrobcast.bsky.social's take from back then too, there's also a interview tagged in there too with the director.

Bat guy all day long
Turns out I've been doing this far longer than I realised...

That's fair, but being far from a soap opera fan it was a hard pill to swallow for me at the time. I have different motivation this time though, its the last major piece of David Lynch's work I have yet to see.
I've heard and read great things about the return, but that's all but meaningless with Lynch's stuff - you have to experience it. Looking forward to catch up.
I think that soap opera element is why i bounced off series 2 on my first try.
I should do, I love his work. And that's a bold claim, I cant wait to find out what that means.
I watched series one previously, like it, started series 2 and then just drifted away from it. Now I have it all in one place, there's no excuse.
Thank you.
I got mubi for Β£1 for a few months. And what should see but both runs of Twin Peaks, I've not watched it the whole way through so yes, I will happily take this bait. Starting with the pilot.
When do I watch Fire Walk with Me?
While not the sort of satire or sci-fi that has crossover appeal, it worked for me. Between what I said on letterboxd and its shrewd, dark sense of humour - I enjoyed the hell out of it.

This month on Bandcamp, I have mostly been buying and listening to... stuff my family thinks is either horrible or noise.
A big chunk this month is brought to you by Belgian Noise Rock, yeah, I've probably gone too deep when I can say that.
This week on my Odeon Unlimited Style card I am undecided. Of this weeks releases its a 50/50. Cold Storage or Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die?
What we feeling Bsky?
The context is horrific, I wont deny or undersell that. But as a republican (in the sense of anti-royal as a head of state, not the american kind) Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor being arrested is the funniest shit that has happened all year. Really helps the republic cause too.
Lets see who Reform has said they hate.
The Working Class they have had it too good for too long.
Women they better start having babies or they'll get taxed.
Pensioners, the State Pension is unaffordable.
Anyone who wants NHS Healthcare.
Why would you vote for that
With enough neon gunge to fuel an entire run of 1990s kids daytime TV gameshows, Jimmy & Stiggs sees Joe Begos return to his DIY punk rock roots. Out now from blue finch film releasing.

Colin Paterson on BBC Breakfast: "does it annoy you when people call Sinners a horror film"?
Bitch, what the fuck else is it? Never will I feel the pangs on imposter syndrome when that heat magazine level dumb ass is interviewing for the BBC.

There was a trailer from Damien McCarthy's new one before Whistle - Hokum. Cool trailer and it looks like he's really upped his game. Hope this is the one that lands him in the horror big leagues, building on Oddity & Caveat being two solid movies with one huge scare to bring a conclusive whole.
Yet another adaptation of a classic book? Give it eleven screenings a day for weeks. Even though most of their audience will watch it on streaming.
Yeah, I'm off to see Whistle and the odeon has shafted it with a shitty block on the schedules.
It always boggles me when it comes to horror in cinemas. It is a key part of the release schedule and the profitability of cinemas, saving them post covid lets be honest. But they will still shaft new horror with graveyard only screenings and dumped off a week later.
