Holy shit, episode 2 is so far the best in the whole show. It made me cry. I really wasn't expecting that, but the moment I saw Brook playing Binks' Sake for little Laboon, there was no going back. That whale and that song destroy me every time. And the actor playing Crocus was fantastic.
...needed, but other than that Loguetown was done really well. I loved the inclusion of the conversation between Roger and Garp about Ace. And Bartolemeo too. On to episode 2.
I was really anticipating the fight with Smoker as a first real test of how far the visual effects in this show will be able to go and dayum, Smoker's powers looked dope! They've made him look like a total badass, as he should. I'm not really a fan of the whole festival thing, it really wasn't...
Okay, sitting down for One Piece live action season 2. Please be at least as good as season 1!

Btw, this is my first two star supporter card from Paldean Wonders so I didn't notice before that they finally have proper backgrounds instead of just colours and sparkles. I hope they'll keep this up from now on. Looks so much better.

...the original. It has the soul of One Piece. And most importantly you can just tell that it was made by people who love this series. It reminds me of The Lord of the Rings movies in that way. It's not the original, it's its own thing, made with love and passion. I'm so pumped for season 2.

You should check out the sequel then. It's really good, very emotional at times, darker than the first movie but still very sweet and fun.

Time to rewatch the first season of live action One Piece before the release of season two. I have high hopes for it after the awesome season one. Then again, the first season of The Witcher was pretty good too and then it all went so, so horribly wrong.
