Just want to end Mario Day with one of his most famous and important lines.
I've considered that but it still doesn't work. If you're mentioning that because you think Cranky & Mario are the same age then Cranky has still lived long enough to be a Great Grandfather to a near or possibly adult Diddy Kong. Cranky would be dead with a lifespan that short.
We love features that cross the "who wrote this? Are they okay?" barrier.
There are either 2-3 Paulines. At one point in one book in Japan Lady is listed as a different character but I don't think that has stuck. It would also be weird for Mario to be dating Lady and then save her possible daughter Pauline in DK '94 & Mario vs DK games. I lean towards two (Mayor and Teen)
It's never explicitly said who Teen Pauline is. Just to be clear. But because Bananza references past DK games I listed, and those games reference Cranky's past, and Pauline is there, it's not possible for Teen Pauline and Adult/Mayor Pauline to be the same. Relatives/daughter maybe?
That's Modern DK. If you read everything in Bananza there is no question about it. Bananza takes place after every other Donkey Kong game based on in game evidence. I don't go into full DK/Mario timeline lore here, but Teen Pauline is not the same as Adult Pauline. Possibly daughter or a relative.

I was thinking that was a possibility but then Tiny grew bigger and they have gorilla relatives. We also don't have a lot of references for many other Kong types. There is Lanky, orangutan, and Poppy Kong who seems like maybe an orangutan with a tail? Idk. Need some experts.
