If we cannot change the outcome, the true value shifts from the result to the routine itself. It becomes an act of faith where time grows away from us. In the end, what we receive are not products we have manufactured, but pure gifts of love.
Gardening is a lesson in the fact that nothing is bigger than the daily choice to help something grow. We perform our small rituals and follow a darling daily routine, yet we must eventually accept that we have no control over the final outcome.
