He squats in front of the viewer, his left hand upraised with his pointer and middle fingers extended, while his right hand dangles lazily off his right leg. All the Democrats had to do was crib from the playbook the GOP used against Clinton, Obama, Biden. Instead they’ve been accommodationists to a fault. Sure they’re not fascists like the right, but they’re soft on fascism.

Democrats are on the path to winning this year, but it is by default. The party has done a horrific job on politics from almost the minute Trump was defeated in 2020. So, sure, they are winning right now — but it’s because we have no other choices. Not exactly a ringing endorsement.

In this piece of ANSI art, a Japanese marten person with spiky black hair in a ponytail stands poised to fight in a dark forest, narrowing their eyes. They are dressed in a sleeveless red robe with a huge hood and a side slit, a set of gauntlets and a pair of ankle protectors. Next them is an inset box containing the same marten in the same pose, but in a tenth of the size, drawn entirely with blocks, shade characters and punctuation.
